Oil pulling 10-22-06 Thanks to Fran for this link! I began this therapy on the 19th, I used it twice, once at 4 pm and next at 8pm. I have been reliant on Amitriptyline 50 mg at bedtime and then when I would wake up to go to the bathroom about 4 hours later and take another one. That is what I did on the 19th. On the 20th I took 1 50 mg of the Amitriptyline when went to bed at 10 pm, woke up 4 hours later, but this time I did not take second pill but fell back to sleep quickly and awake 4 hours later at 6 am. I thought that was pretty amazing. On the 21st (last night) I was still paranoid I would not sleep so I did take 1 50mg Amitriptyline and fell asleep at 10pm, woke up at 2am, took no Amitriptyline and slept until 8am!!! Holy crap!!! Tonight will be the big test, I will continue to rinse my mouth 3 x and go to bed at 10pm with NO Amitriptyline at all! I am nervous about being able to sleep with no sleeping aid, but there is no other way for me to see if the oil therapy is what is helping me sleep. We shall see! Cya! 11-06-06 I'm still swishing, and no Amitriptyline, but am back to having a very difficult time falling and staying asleep, so today I am contacting my doctor to see if he will prescribe generic xanax, Alprazolam. My dad has insomnia every so often, not chronic like me, but this seems to work for him, I need something. Geeeeeeeeez! I hate this! I am very excited to be going to Mexico in the spring to the ICPF vaccine! I don't know for certain that it will help the insomnia, but I don't see why it should not, it regulates my screwed up immune system! I will have this in the spring thanks to the players of the Turkey Bowl, I will forever be grateful to them!!! 11-08-06 I
finally got my prescription for the generic xanax last night! It actually helped
a lot, I slept great, I will see if it is a repeat tonight! I hope so, this
sleeplessness is so annoying & frustrating
02-01-07 During my exacerbation starting in November I had a very difficult time swishing because I would have to wheel myself into the kitchen to make myself food and wheel back in to measure the oil and swish, so I missed ALOT of swishing! My teeth did tend to hurt quite a bit, but now I am swishing more regularly and my teeth feel much better. I will try to keep up as best I can! I am sleeping better with he Xanax, which is very helpful! Cya! 02-11-07 My teeth are
feeling much better now, the hot and cold are easily tolerable, just a twinge of
pain. I think it is better now that I can get around easier and I can
swish more frequently. I've also been able to avoid the colds that my
family brings home, when one of them has a cold I make sure to swish at least 3
times a day!
