We can never just give up. I know my blood serum tested positive to 29 out of 154 food antigens, but I also have Varicose Veins that run on my mothers side of the famiily. So CCSVI could be a problem, but please read all the info, the bottom link shows there can be problems too. Be sure to do your research. ~ Lisa

03-06-09     In keeping with the information I speak about concerning visualization possibly helping with symptoms of various diseases, I have been using my own wacked out imagination on stem cells. I am hoping to have cord blood treatment in the very near future...I hope... but in the meantime I have read about stem cells being used from fat! So, I started to imagine some of the numerous fat cells I have turning into stem cells that can become neuronal stem cells, and then imagining them crossing the BBB and circulating within my brain, especially the frontal lobe. From an article I just read "Bowel and bladder scores correlated with lesions in the medial frontal lobes, cerebellum, insula, dorsal midbrain, and pons, areas known to be involved in the control of micturition. This study demonstrates for the first time a relationship between the site of lesions and the type of disability in large scale MRI data set in MS." http://www.sciencedirect.com/science  From my last MRI in '03 I could see the lesions in my frontal lobe and big time in the cerebellum I can only presume in 6 years there are more lesions since my bowel problems have somewhat escalated since then. I have been pretty consistent with Kegel exercises so that seems to be helping, but I will continue with my visualizations of these stem cells floating around my brain and healing those lesions...it can't hurt! I will also continue with the dietary aspect. I hope to have that human bloodprint blood test done next week I really want to find out what foods my system needs to avoid for a fact!

Never give up! ~ Lisa

09-19-08     I will always remember seeing a story on TV I don't remember if it was 20/20 or Dateline, some show like that. A boy maybe a young teen had an inoperable brain tumor and he used visualization to "laser" away his tumor and it worked. So I figured I'd think of my own visualization to smooth out the lesions I believe are in my brain stem. I Googled brain stem so I could get a visual of what the brain stem looks like. I also looked into where in the brain my bladder is "ruled" since I also have Over Active Bladder. That area could be in the frontal lobe somewhere. Obviously I'm no doctor but I figure what can it hurt to just do some mental imagery, it will at the very least it exercise my brain, which it sorely needs. So here's my kooky visualization; Since I also believe that cord blood stem cells would fix this problem, I don't play the lottery so that is a pipe dream at the moment. I started to visualize a type of blizzard of stem cells floating around my brain, especially, cerebellum since my balance has been shot sine '84, also frontal lobe area for my bladder and into the brain stem for insomnia. It does sound silly but I just can't stop thinking about that young man and how visualization really worked for his tumor. What can it hurt who knows maybe it will help, at the very least it will exercise my brain. My OAB issue is urinary hesitancy and bowel urgency. I try to do this through out the day but especially when I wake up and at or before bedtime. I also will often listen to some relaxing music at the same time. My mom has of course been a huge support for me in dealing with this crap disease. She's a very laid back woman and even had my 2 brothers and I learn to do Transcendental Meditation after she and my father divorced when I was 10. I'm so glad she did because I'm now using that knowledge when I do my visualizations. The gist of meditation is to calm your mind and then repeat one word in your mind over and over again. Sounds easy doesn't it? However unless you are a Buddhist Monk you will find your mind will wonder from that word over and over again :)  You can use any word, I'm sure many have heard the word ohm being referred to in conjunction with meditation. I've also heard the word sing, or just ing. I think it is just whatever word feels right for you if you are interested in trying this out. It's so funny I look back to that time in 1972 and all we had to do was bring some fruit and I think flowers and one weeks allowance. The woman who taught me would then do some chanting and singing, give me my mantra word and that was it. I even remember her name, Hepsida.  I understand learning how to do it now costs a whole lot more money. It is a really nice memory, I'm glad my mom had us learn to do that.  Have a nice weekend! ~ Lisa

07-06-08     I still believe visualization can help with MS symptoms. I have not been listening to the CD's lately, I just have been visualizing "stem cells" that look somewhat like glitter raining down on my brain and soaking in. It's generally the entire brain I visualize and sometimes extra "glitter" to the cerebellum area near the base of my brain where is the balance area. Maybe it will not truly help, but it certainly cannot hurt! I just keep thinking about that young boy I read about years ago who had a tumor in his brain and did shrink it by using visualization. Who knows maybe this will help. I know I'm using other treatments that may be helping repair as well, so I guess I will never know which thing is working the most. I also do believe that dietary changes of eating non inflammatory foods is key to ridding the body of MS, that I will never sway from. I know I am so fortunate to be able to also use the Immunosyn vaccine (SF1019) which I feel is helping my body to heal more quickly than with just diet alone. My biggest hope is that once the vaccine is approved that Neurologists will also recommend these necessary dietary changes in conjunction with using the vaccine. In the meantime I will continue to also use visualization and meditation to help with stress since stress also causes inflammation. ~ Lisa

04-18-08     I'm still using the same visualization ideas, my mom gave me a real great CD called Theta meditation system 2.0, by Dr. Jeffrey Thompson she got it from www.therelaxationcompany.comI have tried other tapes, which are relaxing but one of the sound effects is rain, which often makes me need to go to the bathroom, not so helpful, there are no water sounds in the CD above. Nice piano music very soothing, I do fall asleep for about an hour or so. I like this CD. Cya ~ Lisa

03-22-08     I guess my brain is working a bit better now that I have the Xanax to help me sleep. I know I have mentioned that from a previous MRI back in 2000 that the last Neurologist I saw suggested that because of that MRI that showed lesions in my brain where Melatonin is produced and also lesions in the brain stem where serotonin is produced, the brain chemicals that induce normal sleep patterns. This could be the reason for my sleep disturbances which were just beginning at that time. My cerebellum also has plenty of lesions since '84 leaving me with lousy balance, I cannot stand with my feet together without falling over. I'm no Einstein but the doctor's explanation on the sleep problems I experience sounded pretty logical to me. I can only imagine what my MRI might look like now, since my sleeping is very, very bad now so that I can only fall asleep if I am medicated. I'll take what I can get! I have used meditation, many different alternative therapies. However I just remembered watching a nighttime news program years ago about a young boy around 12 who had an inoperable brain tumor. This was around the time when video games became popular, so he started visualizing his brain tumor being "zapped" and after a time, the brain tumor did shrink, then it was gone. I've been Googling trying to find that particular story, I have not found it yet but I did find other interesting links about this type of visualization and how it has appeared to work for others. I haven't found anything pertaining to MS, but I am going to try it for myself, can't hurt. I started doing it a bit yesterday and this morning. Since it is my brain that is primarily affected I am envisioning a paste of stem cells soaking into my brain, cerebellum, and brainstem. I'm also envisioning sparks intermittently going off throughout my brain. I will continue to do the visualization throughout the day. I am of course going to stick to my dietary changes to help eliminate the Candida Albicans from my bloodstream. I've been reading way too much about that that really makes me believe that Candida is the primary cause of MS and I am the only one who can change that. Also remembering that it took Ann Boroch 5 years to eliminate all of her MS symptoms. It seems to me regardless of the treatment, it is simply going to take time and patience, heck it's been 30+ years for me I can't imagine it is simply going to go poof and I'll be better overnight. I intend to just keep plugging away. Best wishes! ~ Lisa

03-28-08     I've added another visualization for inflammation. I visualize my brain being the cooling center and spreading it throughout my brain then down through my nerves from head to toe. More links to interesting books on this subject. Click here Have a great weekend! ~ Lisa
